Data Deletion Instructions

Foodix.io is a product of Webcandy FZ (United Arab Emirates). This page explains how to request deletion of personal data we hold about you, including any data obtained from an Instagram account connected to Foodix. You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time; we honour requests in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws (UAE PDPL, EU/UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA where they apply).
Option 1 — Self-service (fastest)
If you are a venue / business using Foodix
- Sign in to your Foodix dashboard at app.foodix.io.
- To remove a connected Instagram account and the data we obtained from it, open Venue & Branches → Instagram Business and click Disconnect. This revokes our access token and deletes the Instagram-derived data we stored for that venue (e.g. follower count, profile details, cached media).
- To delete your entire account and all associated data, use Settings → Account → Delete account, or email us using Option 2 below.
If you are a diner / end customer
- If you created a Saha Pass / loyalty profile, open the profile menu in any Foodix menu where you are signed in and choose Delete my data.
- If you cannot access the profile, email us using Option 2 below and we will locate and delete your data.
Option 2 — Email request
Send an email to letstalk@foodix.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your name;
- The email address, phone number, or Instagram username associated with your data;
- Whether you are a venue/business user or a diner/end customer;
- What you would like deleted (a connected Instagram account, a specific record, or your entire account).
Revoking access directly from Instagram. You can also remove Foodix's access to your Instagram account at any time from Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites → Active → Foodix → Remove. Removing access stops any further data collection; to also delete data we have already stored, please use Option 1 or 2 above.
What we delete and when
- Instagram-derived data: on disconnection or request, we delete the access token and stored Instagram data (profile details, follower counts, cached media, insights, and any comment/message data) for the affected account.
- Account data: on an account-deletion request, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data.
- Timeline: we action verified requests within 30 days. We may retain a limited amount of data where required by law (for example, tax or transaction records) or to resolve disputes; such data is securely stored and deleted when no longer required.
